Welcome to Issue two. What a month it has been with so much racing going on all over Australia. Along with the racing it has been a busy month in the automotive industry with some new models due out very soon or just been released.
This edition sees Queensland’s own Steven Henderson road test Mazda’s CX-5 with some surprising results. Along with his review, Steven fills us all in with the follow up to Issue ones article Flake with a Hint of Lemon on page 26. This article makes you think more when it comes time to buying a car.
There is a wrap up of the record breaking round two of the Australian Rally Championship, the first round of the Australian Motorkhana Championship and plenty more.
Loren Hazelwood takes us through the opening rounds of the Formula 3 championship from Bathurst and Tassie and for a bit of fun we stopped by a round of ride on lawn mower racing at Willowbank in Queensland.
The Opel brand has returned to Oz and David Conole checked out the Insgnia Tourer. Giving the vehicle a full test, David gives an honest opinion of this relatively new Australian brand.
This month’s driver behind the helmet is a young guy from Queensland who is working on making a name for himself in the racing world. Competing in a state series, this young driver has big expectations and the talent to match.
The first round of the F1 Sidecar series ran and Jeff Brown gives a full run down of each race. Shelly Ives travelled to New South Wales for the ADM team and reports back with some exciting state series racing from the NSW Production Touring Car Championship. Her story, Bathurst to Sydney in Three Weeks shows how fast the championship travels and how committed the drivers are.
