About ADM
Welcome to Australian Driver Magazine, the site dedicated to local, national and international motor sport, vehicle related events, motoring issues, car reviews, road tests and product reviews. Here is where you will be able to find out when the next event is on, check out all the interesting photos from events and read the latest news from around South-East Queensland, Northern New South Wales, Victoria and the World.
2010 has been a development year for ADM with all new reviews and testing and many different local motor racing events. As an independent site we can offer clear views and all the information needed when you are looking at buying a new or used car or motorcycle. Along with car and bike reviews we will test some of the lasted products on the market.
Motor sport has a soft spot with ADM and we are always hitting the local events to cover you as a driver and the events you attend. Local motor sport is where heroes are born and we want to meet you and help your career grow along with promoting lesser known events. Along with local and state events ADM will cover a number of international races of interest.
Be sure to send us an email with any information and events and if you don’t like something we have posted let us know.

Lee McKenzie McKinnon
Editor/Owner
Founder and editor of drivermagazine.com.au Lee has been into cars and racing one way or another for as long as he can remember. His Dad let him drive cars and bikes well before he could be on the road and he began racing at 13 years old.
With his first road car a Datsun 1600, which he used for both road and racing, Lee was good on the tools playing with his car. Watching racing since he could turn the TV on, Lee lives and breaths cars and bikes.
Reading all kinds of magazines, news papers and online, Lee noticed that local motor sport was never covered as much as there were races. Seeing this ADM was started and motor sport around Queensland was being covered and now it has expanded into the site you see today with so much information and news to keep you reading and helping you to make decisions on what car or bike to buy.
Katrina Sheppard
Marketing Manager
Katrina is new to ADM but has plenty of new and exciting ideas to take Australian Driver Magazine to the next level. With all new concepts of marketing and advertising for the site, ADM is very lucky to have Katrina onboard.
Daniel ‘Mavrick” Lang
Web Designer
Daniel has been playing on websites since the internet was born. Working with ADM since the beginning, Mavrick has helped ADM grow to what it is today and continues to maintain and update the site with the latest internet updates.
Despite being a computer junkie, Daniel loves cars and motor sport. Many times he has been out helping Lee at races and when not behind the desk or spanner he is causing havoc on the streets.
Jason ‘Shorb’ Sharman
Sub Editor/Photographer
Jason is a self taught photographer and a full car nut. As ADM has been growing in style and professionalism so has Jason’s skills as a motor sport photographer. Jason has owned a number of cars over the years and all have been very well looked after, some more then others.
Photos and cars are a passion and keep Jason going to events. He has been to a number of Hillclimbs, Motorkhana’s and a few of dirt events and adding to his list of pro photos the 2011 Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne. Jason is a fan of the annual events such as Speed on Tweed and state championships.
Phil Melvin
Chief Photographer
Phil has recently been promoted to Australian Driver Magazine’s Chief Photographer. We thank Phil for his hard work and look forward to a positive time ahead.
Phil has been running around the drag racing scene in Queensland for many years and growing up around the noise of high horsepower V8′s and a love of turbo’s he is no stranger to fast cars. As well as taking photos Phil has been a long standing friend to ADM and we are lucky to have him aboard the team. Along with photos on this site, Phil has had his work published on other sites including Drag News Australia and he activley runs a flicker photo bucket.
Now with his love of fast cars and the ability to take fast shots, Phil has been going to many new events for ADM and taking so many great shots. Keep an eye out for Phil next to the wall at an event in South-East Queensland.
