This week we have Mick Gillett. Mick is a national rally driver with Hyundai driving an i30 CRDi in ARC events. Mick sat down to answer some of these questions.

Q: The best moment in racing you have had so far? 2009 Excel national title Bega
Q: Your ideal non-race weekend? With the kids camping on the beach.
Q: What was your first car? Mini Clubman
Q: When was your last infringement notice and what was it for? 2009 doing a youi (U-Turn) over a Median strip at North Ryde in crap traffic.
Q: What is your favorite high? Rev limiter in top gear- one day!!!
Q: Who is your dream date? Jamie Lee Curtis (some time ago)
Q: Which film do you enjoy the most? World’s Fastest Indian
Q: Is there anything you are afraid of? Trees
Q: What was the last book you read? A John Grisham book- can’t remember which one
Q: Name five things that you hate? Traffic, paying Tax, being pushed for time, public speaking, time away from family.

Q: What did you’re teachers say about you in your school reports? Mick has terrible hand writing!
Q: Do you have any guilty pleasures? Yep-best let my wife explain that……..

Q: What was your worst buy? My first real rally car (Datsun 1600) but I still miss it
Q: How do you take your coffee? 2SM (two sugars and milk)
Q: What’s the most embarrassing moment you’ve ever had? Crashing my Mother’s car out the front of high School…
Q: What is the best thing that you can cook? Roast on the Weber.
Q: When was the last time you were really angry? Kids-they teach you control!!!
Final Word: One of my favorite bits of literature comes from the bush poem “the Boy friend from Hell” it’s for every father with girls.
“He’s goin nowhere and he’s almost there!!!”
